Celebrating Earth Day - Our New Greener Packaging

Our new greener packaging for silk embroidery art.

This year we celebrated Earth Day by introducing greener packaging for our silk embroidery art.

When shipping, we try to find the best balance between protecting your purchased art and protecting the environment. After experimenting and testing many types of packaging, we are replacing our foam edges and corners with a combination of recyclable bubble wrap and cardboard. This new packaging both eliminates our contribution to ozone air pollutants cause by the manufacturing of polystyrene foam while reducing waste. In the end it lightens the load on both landfill and our air.

In addition, we're phasing in high-clarity float glass to replace shatterproof polycarbonate in our frames. By substituting to glass, we can help curb the creation of ozone depleting CFCs, carcinogens and other toxic emissions that result from polycarbonate production.

When you make your next Art of Silk purchase, you can rest assured that it is an environmentally friendly one. Please help us reap the full benefits of our new packaging by recycling them responsibly with the advice of your local municipality.

Till next Earth Day!
